Expert Opinion for Litigation

We provide expert opinions for litigation in respect of Professional Negligence, Property and Liability issues. Whether you are defending proceedings or the plaintiff in an action, we have the acumen to professionally cement your case and or highlight weakness and flaws in factual evidence and assumptions. We supply comprehensive reporting, document samples, extracts and collaborative evidence as part of the substantiation of our view. Your barrister or attorney will then be in the best position to put forward a strong legal argument.

Other areas where our opinion is sought is in determining if parties to commercial contacts have provided insurance in the scope and form required. This is commonly the case in commercial construction contracts and specialised insurance coverage. We also provide contract tender design for the insurance and risk content.

We are endorsed by New South Global Pty Ltd, (a wholly owned division of University of NSW) as expert consultants. As approved witnesses for New South Global Pty Ltd we have provided expert opinions for many matters. Additional we are also accredited as providers of expert opinion by NIBA, the National Insurance Brokers Association. Our services may be retained by lawyers, barristers, court appointment, law associations, and other common interest groups and insurers, insurance brokers and financial advisers, or through clients directly.

Presentation of legal evidence not only requires an understanding of expert witness rules of conduct, but the professional presentation of all documentation and reports in a format and scope, acceptable to the plaintiff, defendant and the courts. The Evidence Act 1995, Commonwealth also provides amongst many things that opinions and briefs be presented concisely and professionally, with correct legal argument so those opinions will withstand rigorous testing. Evidence must be presented for the benefit of the court and be succinct and unbiased. It must be professionally written, and framed in accordance with the law pertaining to the Expert Witness Code of Conduct. Clearly, having professional insurance and risk knowledge as a discipline is one issue but such knowledge is useless if not correctly presented to the court.
